Application for Emergency Services for Grand Turk and South Caicos
|
01 Oct 2008
The Commission is pleased to inform you that your application has been approved. It is understood that the company intends to roll out a WiMax service to the two islands in order to replace existing DSL services that have been destroyed by the hurricane.
The Commission wishes to emphasize that this is not a permanent service, and that the Company will turn the service down when the normal wireline facilities have been established. In recognition of this special situation, the Commission is waiving the normal fees for this service until such time as normal service arrangements can be made and the WiMax system turned down.
