What is the Type Approval procedure for low power devices such as Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and GSM products in Turks and Caicos Islands?
The TCITC has an informal procedure in place to offer Type Approval Certificates for low power devices to any company that requests an official certificate or letter for the device. However it is not mandatory to have an approval certificate from the Turks and Caicos Islands to operate or use low power devices in TCI. It is required that the device be certified with an FCC or Industry Canada identification number because we do not perform laboratory measurements or technical reports on such devices.

What types of products and network bands are available for use by Wireless LAN and Bluetooth equipment in Turks and Caicos Islands?
The Turks and Caicos Island is in Region 2 in the ITU requirement assignment. However, TCI allows the use of approved devices from the USA and Canada, as the most likely sources of equipment sold here.
